Makyla Cervantes,
Founder & CEO of Baila Conmigo Dance Experience

Makyla is currently a rising freshman at Stanford University majoring in both economics and engineering. As a young girl she trained as a gymnast but found a passion for dance. As an incoming freshman at Granada Hills Charter High School, she auditioned out for her high school’s varsity dance team and made it, leading as their Vice President and eventually President senior year. Since 2021 has scaled Baila Conmigo for four years, spearheading the partnership summer programs with VAUGHN Charter’s Elementary campuses and even being featured for the team’s work on ABC-7 in 2023. She looks forward to growing Baila’s impact in the community and empowering children to self express through the art form of dance.

Mya Cervantes,
COO of Baila Conmigo Dance Experience

Mya is currently a student at Pepperdine University. She began a dance project intent on bringing dance to children and in communities her father was raised in the San Fernando Valley. The project was named United Rhythm and a partnership with a mental health services nonprofit agency was developed, by her, to provide such for the summer before her senior year of high school. Four dance instructors were able to provide Hula, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary dance lessons. Today she helps her sister in enabling students greater dance opportunities as member of the Baila Conmigo leadership.

Alana Sheehan,Program Co-Director of Baila Conmigo Dance Experience

Alana is currently a student at New York University. She collaborated with Mya in developing United Rhythm then served Baila Conmigo originally as a hula dance instructor for Baila Conmigo’s first summer programs. Today, she leads as Co-Director in managing the social media, running on-site programs, and overseeing class operations for the nonprofit/

Jackie is currently a rising student at University of Southern California. She helped lead Baila Conmigo as Co-Director in managing the social media, running on-site programs, and overseeing class operations for the nonprofit since 2021.
